2. Nature of Counselling Services
Lighthouse Mind & Soul provides professional counselling and emotional support services for individuals, couples, children, and families. These services are therapeutic and supportive in nature and are not intended to replace psychiatric treatment, medical care, diagnosis, or emergency crisis intervention. The counselling process is collaborative and depends on active participation from the client. While professional standards are upheld at all times, no guarantee of specific results or outcomes can be provided, as each individual’s journey is unique.
3. Eligibility and Client Representation
Counselling services are available to individuals who are legally competent to provide consent. In the case of minors, written consent from a parent or legal guardian is required prior to the commencement of services. By engaging with the Center, clients confirm that the information they provide is accurate and complete and agree to update such information where necessary.sent.
4. Appointments and Scheduling
Appointments must be scheduled through the Center’s official communication channels. A session shall be considered confirmed only upon receipt of the applicable payment unless otherwise agreed in writing. Clients are expected to attend sessions at the agreed time. In the event of late arrival, the session may be shortened while the full session fee remains applicable.
5. Fees and Payment Terms
All service fees are communicated prior to booking confirmation. Payment must be completed in advance through approved payment methods. The Center reserves the right to revise its fees with prior notice. Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of the scheduled session.
6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Clients are required to provide at least twenty-four hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling requests. Cancellations made within twenty-four hours of the scheduled session time, as well as failure to attend without prior notice, shall not be eligible for refund. Completed sessions are non-refundable. Approved refunds, where applicable, will be processed within seven to ten business days. Subscription plans or therapy packages are non-refundable once activated or once sessions have commenced, except under exceptional circumstances at the sole discretion of the Center.
7. Confidentiality and Disclosure
All counselling sessions and related records are treated as confidential. Client information shall not be disclosed to any third party without written consent, except where disclosure is required by law, where there is risk of serious harm to the client or others, in cases involving mandatory reporting obligations, or pursuant to a lawful court order. The Center implements reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect client information.
8. Online and Tele-Counselling Services
Online counselling sessions are conducted through secure digital platforms. Clients are responsible for ensuring a private environment and secure internet connection during sessions. The Center shall not be liable for technical disruptions beyond its control or for privacy breaches arising from the client’s device or location. Online counselling does not constitute emergency or crisis intervention. Clients experiencing immediate danger or severe mental health crises must contact local emergency services.
9. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for actively participating in the counselling process and for disclosing relevant medical, psychological, or psychiatric history. The effectiveness of counselling depends significantly on client engagement and cooperation. The Center may refer clients to other professionals or discontinue services where clinically appropriate.
10. Limitation of Liability
The Center shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of its services. Decisions made by clients following counselling sessions remain their responsibility. Services are provided in good faith and in accordance with professional standards; however, no specific therapeutic outcome is guaranteed.
11. Intellectual Property Rights
